Great post! This vinyl version contains songs that are not on the CD put out by Gulcher Records - so ya need both... One of the best KBD bands of all, been listening to them since 1984!!

Yes, the release is long out of print, and unlikely to be reissued as Rave-Up don't seem to reissue their stuff. If anything this post will make people curious, and they will want to check out the Gynecologists CD on Gulcher Records. This is helping the band, in fact... (And I doubt the drummer would be so lame as to post that comment. I suspect sabotage!).

sabotage? piracy is a crime. i dont give a shit if it's out of print. it is a terms of use and copyright violation on the gynecologists music.

It this really is the Gynecologists drummer, you are taking your band a bit too seriously. The band was pretty great (in an extremely f*cked way) - but that has more to do with singer Tommy Afterbirth's "bizarre melding of conservative politics & sick punk rock... pure original genius that could not be replicated" (To quote the liner notes for the 'Hoosier Psychopaths' CD) than an occasional member who happened to tap out the beat (now apparently an infuriated 50 year old scouring the internet for anything that might be robbing him of a share of the band's hefty posthumous sales).

Posting this out-of-print album here isn't costing anyone any sales (except maybe the odd used record dealer - but even that is questionable), and is actually helping the band out. (If the album was still in print I would think differently).

Yeah, i agree 100% with James... don't see how posting this out-of-print release should damage somebody except used record dealer...

anyway, i'm happy that i did not posted the Hoosier Psychopaths CD (for the same reason that i posted the rave-up release) heheh

hey, I'm surprised the Gynecologists have such a stupid drummer (but... maybe I'm not so surprised!!). The guy at Rave Up does not repress any of his releases. When they are gone they are gone. So no one is losing out by this post. All it does is make people who hear it - and like it - want to check out the Hoosier Psychopaths cd. How many people do you think have ever heard of, or are interested in your band anyway? A couple of hundred, MAXIMUM! The Gynecologists are ultra obscure. They are the kind of band who appeal to record collectors - to people who really want the actual release (with the liner notes etc) . Save your anger for someone else and not a responsible blog like ISKSP who post out-of-print stuff only and who might actually make people aware of your band - who are pretty great - even though the person who claims to be the drummer is an embarrassing idiot

Holy crap! I'd not heard of this band before. From Indiana? Wow.

I'm surprised they don't want publicity, but oh well, they just got another visit to their site due to this post.
