Revenge - 1978 - Our Generation 7'' (UK)

Revenge - 1978 - Our Generation 7'' (UK)
.
Aye aye these boys look like some whimpering power pop band..... a sort of young Cure style band. WRONG !!! A classic three piece playing mid tempo classic punk. I can imagine them in the studio saying "its not loud enough" and turning everything up into the red as instruments and channels all bleed into a distorted cacophonous racket !!! In short two brilliant singles Our Generation / I Love Her Way (Looney Records 78) and We're Not Going To Take It / Pornography (Looney 78) where in the latter's B-side the singer intones 'I'm getting turned on by the size of her tits.'

This is killer!! I prefer this to their other 7" (but both are great)... Hey, do you have the V2 discography that came out on CD about 10 years ago (now out of print)?? Thanks, man...

i've the same opnion, i prefer the second too...

about the requests, yeah, i've got the pop-o-pies ep and about the V2 i guess that you were speaking about the V2 CD released in 1996, right (i only know this release in cd)? if so, i'll post it in a while too (and, why not?, the rest of their discography hehe)

thanks for the other comments too!

hello! Yeah, I am indeed speaking of the V2 CD from '96. It would be awesome if you could post it! (very hard to find nowadays). By the way, I am a regular (daily) reader of this blog. I don't comment often enough (although I do from time to time), but wanted to say that - for what it's worth - you have the best, (most wide-ranging!) punk blog on the internet. I've been a HUGE punk fan since 1978, but you are constantly coming up with records from amazing bands that I've never even heard of (never mind heard) - and from just about everywhere in the world... Just wondered, do you own all the records that you post? Not that it matters - only the music matters, maaaaan!! But I get the feeling you are one of the most knowledgeable punk rockers out there... So, keep up the great work! it is truly appreciated, and - best wishes from London!! James

thanks for all the compliments, it even made me a little embarrassed heheh

but the funny thing is that having this blog helps me a lot in know new stuff, especially this kind of request (by the way, post in a while the CD from V2)

and, unfortunately, i don't have most of the material posted over here... it's a little expensive for me to import this vinyls or CDs, so my soulseek works a lot to compansate that heheh

again, thanks for the compliments!
